Migraine

Definition

Migraine is a primary headache disorder characterized by recurrent headaches that are moderate to severe.Typically, the headaches affect one half of the head, are pulsating in nature, and last from two to 72 hours. Associated symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light, sound, or smell.The pain is generally made worse by physical or mental activity.

Symptoms

  • Throbbing or pulsatile headache, with moderate to severe pain that intensifies with movement or physical activity.
  • Unilateral and localized pain in the frontotemporal and ocular area, but the pain may be felt anywhere around the head or neck.
  • Nausea & vomiting
  • Anorexia & Food intolerance
  • Hyper Acidity
  • Constipation
  • Abdominal Discomfort, Heaviness, pain
  • Gastric trouble
  • Headache reduces or stops after vomiting

Causes

  • Overuse of spices ,sour , salty food

Due to previously described causes,When Aggravated Doshas get entered into the brain vessels, They increases the diameter of the channels in brain like Arteries,veins and nerves & they become swollen.

When these swollen channels into the brain conflicts with each other, they create throbbing & pulsating nature of pain.
